Symbian on n900? Seriously ? I bought an android tablet and it feels almost like a downgrade from n900, compensated by amount of apps. But Maemo -> Symbian I just simply don't see many people giving up sweet, sweet linux kernel.
I do it because I love programming and doing such things
@pusak gaoq: maybe you want to help? If you're such a a
specialist you could be helpful
And btw. I have source
hmmm...let me ask you first,do you have nokia phone running on symbian^3??? have you try playing around with the system???
if you don't have i suggest you buys one (N8 or C6-01) then play around with it...
Sorry I can't afford buying a new device, as I've bought an N900 this year..
But I'll be searching around my friends
I havnt tried building yet - I had some other things to be done...
I'll try with g++ to check if it even compiles...
btw. Any of the symbian specialists.... Which compiler should I use?
Though I have to say that I'm not really confident in the feasibility of full port.
Maybe it could be easier to have an application compatibility layer (as Wine) to, at least, support Qt applications for Symbian 3. That would be much more useful and doable.
