    Greetings,
I've been trying to update my N900.
UPDATE NAME : Maemo 5 community SSU Package 20.2010.36-2maemo15

The problem which I'm facing is that it wants me
to connect to N900 to PC for update "To update your device to this version of the operating system you must use Nokia Pc suite on your PC. Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and launch the application".
I tried connecting my N900 as same way as mentioned above but I was not successful. I tried every possible way to get my N900 update-to-date, I even searched the forums, but no help there.

Can anyone please give me brief details on how to exactly update this update?

    Thanks in advance

Use FAM (Faster Application Manager, package name "fapman"), instead of HAM (Hildon Application Manager). Then, You'll be ready to go

if you have tried the steps in the wiki and failed installing cssu package after installing the cssu enabler

    try using this command :

    sudo gainroot
    apt-get update
    apt-get install mp-fremantle-community-pr

hopefully you can install the cssu package

BTW: do this on your own risk
