Hi all!
I'm the author of the widget. I'm actually surprised to find this thread here -- when I pushed the package to the testing repository I didn't expect people to start using it without an announcement. This weekend I'll probably blog about it, then.

I've just promoted version 0.6; it should behave a bit better (and adds web navigation while configuring), but it's still very incomplete and buggy.

Unfortunately, the reason why the previous versions were failing most of the times was a bad configuration; this means that the new version might behave better only if you reconfigure your widgets.

Sorry for the disappointment, I'll try to put it in acceptable shape ASAP.

Ciao,
Alberto

I can't actually get to the setup screen.
Every time I click the setup icon the widget either jumps to the next screen or the setup dialog opens then closes immediately afterwards.

Only way to get it working again is to restart the device.

i'm running on oculo v.8 with cssu and the cssu config installed. oculo works and display properly. can i make a request, that when oculo auto update, is there a way to have oculo to tell n900 to connect to the internet and update? (ie: when i'm not connected to the internet, oculo would not update in the configured interval) thanks and enjoy this app a lot

Mine doesn't either. It doesn't auto update either, until I select the particular home screen I have put it on.

I found it to be a bit of a pain the arse to use in all honesty. I still have it installed but I don't use it anymore.

I like Oculo, as well as other desktop customizers like DrLaunch and Desktop Activity Manager
these apps kick @$$.

Can somebody offer more extensive info on <<Auto-update>> and <<User Agent>>?
