Thats because you are not in the right folder. You have to be in the same folder where the deb are. If you just start xterm then you probably will be in /home/user/, must likely you have the deb in /home/user/MyDocs, or /home/user/MyDocs/Downloads. Write cd and then some of the places I wrote to find out. ls is a nice command to see whats in the folders. A tip is to write hildon-desktop and then ctrl and i, after that you cant spell it wrong.
is it possible to make a patch to hold the screen rotate to landscape mode , or the screen auto rotate if we using the hard keyboard?(sms conversations were exclude , screen will always rotate in sms conversation)
I decided to make a deb of it. I have no idea, if it works because I don't have N900 currently. According to feedback it works without issues when installed with dpkg.
Debug symbols were too big to be added as attachment, but they are here.
hi could you possibly help me out? ive been trying to install the new HD but its seems to be putting my fone into reboot loop, could you tell me if possible how you installed it? i ran as root /home/user/MyDocs/hildon........deb and it didnt seem to work, but when i try to reboot and ends up in reboot loop.
it say "must specify some schema files to install" any ideas?
There seems to be a new thread about hildon-desktop in portrait mode, so until arcrean submits a merge request and this makes it into the CSSU, please move discussion to that thread.
I am extremely interested in CSSU, and want to update my phone. However when I click update in the application manager, it says "Please connect to PC Suite".... I unfortunately dont have a laptop with Windows next to me to do this at the moment (corporate locked down laptop)....
While browsing I came to see that it might be because of rootfs space... So I cleared space, and have more than 400 MB free for installable applications now...
But still the same.... Anyone got this resolved before me???
ookk just to add, I also found on the wiki "Before taking any action, check the "Problems" tab in the dialog for more details. " But nowhere I get the "Problems" tab... All I get is the modal box asking me to connect to PC Suite....
