Please keep in mind that this is still work in progress.
Main features of this modified hildon-desktop are:
- auto-rotation of the desktop
- widgets also rotate
- widget postion is stored separately for portrait and landscape mode
- when you enter portrait mode for the first time, you will probably have to arrange widgets in the way you like it
- each widget added to portrait mode is available also in landscape and vice versa.
- almost forgot about desktop edit mode in portrait
Package is based on the latest cssu hildon-desktop package, which means new features like:
- improved task navigator by freemangordon
- do not change from portrait to landscape when device lies on a table by freemangordon
- added configurable saturation for blurless by David Fries
- included transitions.ini in deb configfile to retain user settings by David Fries
Don't know if this is the correct place, I would like to suggest/request an Enhanced Orientation Lock applet, which holds the name of selected programs not to lock in landscape/portrait; i.e. exception for a list of apps.
Example: Not to lock Phone app, calculator, photos and already portrait apps like some player, ncalc etc. to landscape or portrait mode.
Instead those apps are excluded from the locking process.
p.s. sorry for my english.. i'm not a native english speaker.

at this moment, i would like the camera apps, blessn900 and media player should always stay as landscape mode.

That was suggested long time ago. I think it's in development, but I'm not sure. It's popularly known as the "blacklist/whitelist" feature.
