Says Australia will be the very 1st market? W00t!!!!!!
Trying to get info from the site that did the review, to find out what they base this on.
A tech site in Australia who was recently invited by Nokia Australia to have a look at the N9.
http://techgeek.com.au/2011/07/17/vi...k-on-nokia-n9/
Has been told by Nokia that the N9 will be available in the Asia Pacific region with carriers by the end of Q3.

...the phone is scheduled for a release late Q3.
In addition, Australia and the Asia-Pacific will be the first region to launch this device, and all major carriers have shown interest on the phone

He was at pains to say that actual dates are entirely up to each carrier.
Oddly enough -despite specifically asking- they've not yet said anything about retailers

I'm hoping to get a specific date for retail availability, & some carriers (should they decide to release right way).
I don't like my chances

Disturbing claims about availability in Europe/NA in the comments section of this story by Terence.
I've responded with reasons why I think he's mistaken, I hope he is, for most of the folks on this forum's sake!

You should ask him for a 'happy ending'

What differences? Without a Nokia source, this is just pointless speculation.

23th seems to be the date in the north...

I agree entirely Soppa.

Unfortunately, there will always be a minority who find it necessary to express their views in an aggressive, rude and ultimately arrogant manner. Sadly, this seems to be the trend on tmo in recent months. I'm guessing they've got bored of ranting on other mobile sites and decided to roost here.

I hope that if there are any moderators left on tmo, they take the time to safeguard the integrity of what was a highly respected site so that the sharing of intelligent comment, information and views can thrive again.
