I am in an area where Orange have 6 AP's using the same SSID.

Unfortunally one AP has no connectivity to the net so no IP is allocated.

On my PC this is easily fixed as I can choose the AP by it's mac having discovered the duf one (it's the best signal of course).

On the N900 there is no way as the individual AP's are not shown & in my location it goes to the strongest signal, the duf one.

Any one got any ideas how I can select particular AP's?

I have reported it to the people who deal with Orange but as this is France I am not very hopeful - it's been like this for a couple of months now.

Thanks....

Not possible as these are Orange owned AP's.

Isn't there a wifi analyzer program in the repositories that show all the attributes of access points. Maybe that would help.
It's called WifiEye
