    Long answer: because of the legal requirements of licensing / certification / distribution procedures linked to the Flash player. Short answer: money.

    DRM in iOS devices isn't as deep-seated, so why would a maemo/meego one be?

    It's still "up in the air" whether there'll be flash or not.
    Certainly not 100% ruled-out yet, according to Jolo.
