eefo if Im getting you right what your saying is I need to create a picture with the dimentions 480x480? Well if so I just done this and sent it to the n900 and still the same as my last post. landscape is fine but portrait is chopped into two halves.!!.
Or are you telling me there is another place to put the picture in order for it to work fully.
Could you please explain yourself in more than a one liner as this might clear up a problem that really isnt.
Thanks again
Loz
ammmm , ok check the command if it is matching with the portrait wallpaper you have just made and sent in your n900 ?
like the path to the wallpaper and the name of the wallpaper is the same in the command ?
because if it isn't working then it could be the difference in the name of the wallpaper and the name of the wallpaper in the command.

Oh dear we have crossed wires here! Ok let me explain how Im donig this from scratch and you tell me were Im going wrong.
1) Add a picture 480x480 to my images folder on the n900 via my pc.
2) goto theme customizer open that and goto the drop down menu and select Change Backgrounds.
3) select Locksreen and add photo from my images folder and select set image.
4) Alply settings and reboot.
5) run a test and landscape is fine, portrait is in two halves!.
So Im not sure when you say comand? what comand? were?.
Sorry about this mate.... just trying to get a full understanding of how this app works... as I can never find full flow chat instructions on add apps to the n900 even more so when trying to create something using QBW.... As a newb to linux these things really do help.
theme customizer only changes landscape background as Theme customizer is programmed to change the landscape background.
to change the the lockscreen backgrounds follow these steps.
1- copy the path of the folder where you have the backgrounds plus there exact name with the format(.png or .jgp)
2- open filebox and go to /home/user/.config/sakya/ here you will see two .ini files ,
ignore the default one and edit the simple one by longpressing on the file , it will pop up a menu and choose edit
scroll down or pres ctrl+f and type path to background
here you will see two commands for the background.
3- now the path you have copied first .
needed to b pasted here with the name at the end.
for example
i have my wallpapers in /home/user/MyDocs/private
and the name of the wallpapers are lockslider.png and lockslider.p.png
so the commands for the background will be . for portrait BackGroundImageP="/home/user/MyDocs/private/lockslider.p.png"
Nice work.
Just a suggestion, a simple text box as a widget would be nice.
For example I would like to a textline above the lock that says:
"Press and hold to unlock"

i have already asked for this and the answer was in no , so if you want any text , use photoshop to write it on the background

Just my luck... why wouldn't have the .config.sakya folder? Ive dug into file box and even writing the path doesnt bring up the folder! could it be I need to download qtlockscreen again?
btw... great intructions and yes I will be looking at your QBW thread... these things are much needed for us noobs to linux or we will just drag behind.

are you sure you are typing it write ?
if you have the lockscreen working then the folder must be there .
try typing it with keyboard open as it types the whole folder needed by just typing the starting words
