I think the Dell Streak has met its maker

5 800x480 screen like the Dell Streak and it has mobile phone and 3g capabilities like the Dell Streak, however this thing has Android Gingerbread 2.33, a 1.5ghz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon, 1gb of ram, and 8mp camera with 1080p video recording. Unfortunately it isn't known when this will be available outside of Korea or the pricing. Still the soon to be announce/released Dell Opus One/ Dell Streak 2 and Archos 50 Internet Tablet (Assuming Archos is using the same naming system) have to either be cheaper than this or step it up a notch.

Would that be the Maemo that I have on my N800?

There must have been some serious changes taking place while I was distracted elsewhere.

How do I install this superior Maemo on to my N800 please?

I need it to blow away my Streak Gingerbread Android - not to mention the shortly to be available Honeycomb. I do so hate being out of the loop.

He was referring to Maemo 5.
N800 is 4+ year old, compare it with Android 4+ years ago.

Android 2.2.2 is what Dell has most recently made available to me. Is that what you wanted to know?

There was a Streak 5 selling on eBay here in the US where the seller said he could update it from 2.2 to 3.0 for an addition fee.

Apparently you can update a Streak 5 to 3.0 (honeycomb) which is a tablet only version which would disable the phone function.

Streak 7 maybe, but Streak 5 no. Not just yet at any rate. Maybe ask for a money back guarantee?
