[Problem N900] Cannot recieve & send sms, Also shows SIM not recognised. But I can make Call & Receive call. Help required !!!!!!!

Able to latch to the network & also Network name appears in the screen. Able to scan through the available network .

Recent incident happened: More number of sms`s are sent to this number , suddenly SIM not recognised symbol appeared.
Restarted the mobile multiple times. Also tried settings -> Restore original settings. no use..

Pls guide me to make my mobile function normal. THANK YOU !!!

Also tried with varies SIM`s same observation, In status bar - left side to battery SIM card which is crossed in RED Line appears (SIM Not recognised) . Any experts there ...

There can be a lack of pressure onto the sim card, put a small piece of paper behind it, so the the paper is between the metal thingy and the simcard.

I tried the same, by pressurising SIM card - still same SIM cross symbol appears.. Eventhough Network Name appears. I guess something related to software ?

Are you sure it is SIm not recognized and not any offline mode?

Its not in Offline mode.. I tried loggin in OFFLINE Mode it shows G(cross) & exiting Offline mode shows (SIM crossed) --> Able to make calls

Sim not recognized is a known problem, but same one with ability to make calls? Very strange. try fiasco reflash, as per wiki article "Upgrading the firmware".
