Installed the last update version 0.5 and now the battery status is no working. His color is static grey and in status bar says "starting APMO". Reboot and install again after remove didn't solve. But after remove and reboot it shows the default battery status, so if this pgm shouldn't work I can use .the default.

    Some idea/help?

Yeah same problem for me. I had to revert back to previous version to make it work again

    Hi,

you must deinstall advanced-power-monitor and advanced-power with

    apt-get --purge remove advanced-power-monitor advanced-power

as root on console. By this procedure apt-get give you a message that some directory could not delete. Remove this directory and install both packages again.
After this and a reboot everything working fine on my n900.

    bye

    ps: at your own risk

I wonder who currently maintains advanced-power-*. It seems like their garage page has been abandoned (or someone else is pushing the version numbers up ). Anyhow, following what stoffel010170 said, here's what I found:
    Code:
Purging configuration files for advanced-power ...
rm: cannot remove `/usr/lib/hildon-desktop/advpowlib': No such file or directory
    Removing advanced-power-monitor ...
    stop: Job not changed: apmonitord
Purging configuration files for advanced-power-monitor ...
dpkg - warning: while removing advanced-power-monitor, directory `/opt/maemo/usr/lib/advanced-power-monitor/wrappers' not empty so not removed.

I'm guessing the postrm script needs to be modified for that package .
