The touchscreen of my beloved N900 has stopped working. Keyboard, buttons & display all work fine, it boots normally etc. I didn't do any software upgrades when it broke so it's probably a small hardware problem. It's in warranty but I'd rather take a backup before I send it in.

I'm trying to recover my contacts mostly, but the more the better.

This is what I tried so far:
- Using the PC Suite. Didn't work because I can't press the "PC Suite mode" button when connecting to USB. Bluetooth is not on, can't turn it on because touchscreen doesn't work.
- I have Backupmenu installed (boots to backupmenu when phone is booting opened and doesn't need touch input) which allows me to use mass storage mode and copy over everthing in MyDocs. MyDocs doesn't store contacts as far as I can see.
- I tried making backups (it uses dd) with Backupmenu but it crashes & reboots every time. It's also a deprecated version with incompatible disk images so I wouldn't look forward to restore to those images.

Anyone know of any other ways?

Connect You N900 in backupmenu's mass storage mode to *linux* machine - be it normal installation, or even liveCD/DVD. This way, You will have access to all partitions - except rootfs - not only MyDocs (at least I hope so, cause I never used such old version).
