I am using mfe synch contact with google and it does not work since few days....
today I re-install all my phone firmware and i have the same probleme....

it display immediatly "communication error with exchange server"

now I have my phone with zero contacts

help me please

I was surprised nobody else was complaining here, and was blaming my n900. Now that we're two, it must be something else

it worked one time, I have now my contacts back but I have added one contact and I can't re-synch......

Well I'm trying to sync a filled addressbook, not an empty one. Still not working. The addressbooks used to be in sync, so no big deltas or so....

Anybody else having this issue?

the calendar works brilliantly now. no problem to sync the calendar but contacts...... meh i use syncevolution auto sync in a specified time, works like a charm.
so if you want all from google (calendar, contacts and mail) you need;
MfE for calendar
syncevolution for contacts
and nokia messaging for gmail.
been using like this for a long time and seems everything is always in sync with each other.

I have tested syncevolution but it delete pictures of my contacts.....

I think its been a year that i have been using sync evolution and i not have had that problem ever. by deleting do you mean erase contacts picture, make sure you are not in sync with other service and google contact. when at first i had set up my macbook to sync with google and google to sync my phone i had that problem. even though the picture are the same my macbook used to bark at me to correct the conflicts, vvery weird. but i have not had that issue in a very long time. actually now i have my macbook sync with facebook buddy pictures and then sync that to google, then i get the synced pivtures on my phone too.

I tested and my contact pictures are not deleted, and I can add pictures for new contacts.... working well (to night)

I have noticed some weird behaviour in Syncevolution:

- If I have Google Talk account defined in Google Contacts, it appears as a Jabber account in the N900. If the Google Talk account is defined in the N900, it will not appear in Google Contacts.

- Specifying if a phone is from home, work or other is usually a mess.

- Some fields or even contacts get duplicated in the N900 after editing anything in Google Contacts.
