Hey everyone.

Ive been addicted to this forum since i received my n800, end of august.
Ive read ALL i can find about vpnc yet i can't get it to work with my Uni's network

So I decided to send the Network support an an email:
Hi,

and this is the reply i got:

When I last looked, vpnc did not support certicates based mutual (hybrid)
authentication, but your email prompted me to look again, and its not
clear, maybe it will work now, i'll have a look as soon as I can.
- hybrid auth support (done as of version 0.5.0)
- certificate support (Pre-Shared-Key + XAUTH is known to be insecure!)
The fact that preshared key + XAuth is what we had in the pilot and then
moved to include certificates may mean that it will not work.

To be honest, i dont get a work of what he said...maybe someone on this forum could lend me a hand?
here is our uni's network website: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/is/roamnet/

I tried importing the .pcf file the uni has given out but no luck.
There's even a "how to install to debian" webpage:
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/is/roamnet/bin...ocs/debian.txt

I really would appreciate some help.
Thanks
