    good work mardy but how do you know it is just in telepathy-gabbler?

    anyway, now we just need someone to compile and package a new version of telepathy, right? it should be available in the debian repositories, no?

    EDIT: isn't the CSSU using a newer version of this? maybe this could bde what makes me jump into that.

    I dropped my n900....and now my gtalk status is online...but I cant see any online contacts and offline contacts of GTALK....

    Can anybody pls advise how to correct this issue??

    ..could you please how to change the new roaster...mentioned in the link given by you..

    One of my friend has updated me that Google has changed the way to send/retrieve contact list. Now it sends contacts with: <ros:query xmlns:ros="jabber:iq:roster"/>, but should do this with: <query xmlns="jabber:iq:roster" /> which is an XMPP standard. I really don't know why they've changed this...

    Oh crap!

    I just reflashed my phone a number of times ( hard-reset ), and tried all possible permutation combinations. :/

    I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. I use gTalk a lot!
