hey first of all i was using led pattern app than afterwards my led has stopped glowing or showing any notification =(.... how can i restore it back.. or i guess my led is out

Go to Settings>Notification light

From what I've heard, you can't make phone calls on Android. And since you're new, I think it's best to just continue with your Maemo.

Or just try a simple hard reboot. Power off.
If you don't want to reflash, just use flasher-3.5 to flash the kernel only and see if that helps.
