That's correct. This is my first MicroB extension, and it looks as though it's anti-social.

Ahh! to get the adblock red logo to show up, i have to play with the vertical scroll bar a bit... Than it renders. And then i can click it and enable / update the lists.
little buggy but it seems to work after, yé!

Same here. Seems to be working.
But of course, I'm running Privoxy as well so like John C. Dvorak gets no spam, I get no ads.

I'm really glad this is out. I much prefer it to privoxy.

This works on the latest 2007HE on the 770 too.
You have to make sure and clear out the greasemonkey stuff first and add the chinook browser extras repo.
    Slow, but works

This might be a duplicate post and greatly off-topic but here is another way for those whose adblock-plus won't work.

    http://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/server...stformat=hosts

Just copy & paste the contents of the link in your /etc/hosts (you must be root to do this) and you have ad-blocking enabled.

Thats quite a good way, but unfortunately this does not affect css / xhtml inline ads.

Whenever possible to use, Adblock Plus is the best way to stop ads.

Thanks for that tip ! Initially I thought it was only for Chinook...

I've installed it manually on my (Bora) N800. As for others here it was a bit fiddly to get started (getting the red icon, subscribing etc.) but now that it works it really really rocks ! Thanks to the benefactors who ported this !

    Yup.

@root did the trick and cleared out the monkey grease. After a restart Adblock was now listed as a component... and then, as R-R suggested, I fiddled with the vertical scroll and found the preferences icon...

    Thanks.
