I downloaded firefox.install from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/m/ and tried to install it. I get an error - "Unable to download 'fennec'. Application Package not found"

The App manager log shows lots of "Ignoring version from wrong domain" errors, for many of my installed apps, as well as fennec 1.1, 4, 5, and 6 (6 is what I think is installing, I have probably had 1.1, 4, and 5 installed previously)

The mozilla repository that firefox.install adds points to http://moff.mozilla.com/latest/maemo/multi/
I don't know if it matters, but http://moff.mozilla.com/latest/maemo...el/Packages.gz is empty

Please, any advice would be appreciated. I uninstalled Firefox 5 before I tried to install Firefox 6, so my N900 is currently without Firefox!!!

The only Mozilla repository I have is http://moff.mozilla.com/latest/maemo/multi/ and it is enabled. Searching for Firefox finds nothing, and searching of nightly finds nothing Firefox-related - but I don;t want to install a nightly build, I want to install the Firefox 6.0.2 release.

I do not know how to install an app through the terminal.

download the deb file from http://moff.mozilla.com/latest/maemo.../binary-armel/, save it into your N900. then from filemanager, click the deb file, and HAM will install it for you

That worked, thanks! Ny N900 has Firefox again, as it should be.

I think because it was installed via the deb file and not firefox.install or packages.gz, the application has no icon (just a generic blue box). Any idea how I can set it manually?
