With respect to the security update in 16.8, are the Diginotar certificates that appear in Cert. Manager the one provided to correct/protect the issue by Mozilla or are they not meant to be there?
tried rebooting and removed the battery no joy unfortunately, it used to lock pretty quick before.
used location test and it says satellites in view 4, in use 0

Change location server from supl.nokia.com to supl.google.com
It seems that supl.nokia.com is not working anymore.
vlc-remote crashes totally soon after launch without warnings or notifications.
If I start the program from terminal it does not connect to pc.
Same here, the problem appears when connecting to the vlc server, without connecting i have no problem, only uppon connection, on xterminal i get only a segmentation fault error when it closes.
There is one user testing this, so far no crashes. Please someone experiencing regular modest crashes to test it, so we can either confirm that at least one bug in modest is smashed or to continue searching for it.
Thanks.
I suffer (time to time) instability of modest so I installed your .deb.
In case modest will crash, should it generate a log (location?) or what should we (testers) do to get you needed info?

Looks like you smashed it for my use case.
No crashes in over two hours and no more continual CPU spikes.
