    Hi freemangordon,

I am seriously thinking about pushing the package version up to v49 concerning our work at http://bigbob.fun.free.fr/maemo-kernel-power/ ...

On my side I don't see any troubles on this kernel I running since the last compilation.

I'm tired about the Application manager always downgrading my kernel to the last v48 from repository, and I also don't like things like pinning the package in '/etc/apt/preferences' ...

What do you thing about that at your side ?

Can someone explain me where there is the tool to add a Poll in this thread (maybe it is not possible to add a poll in an active thread) ?

    A++

Hi, I have -devel repo enabled but I do not want to upgrade to v48. I want to stay with the v42 from -testing instead. I am following the instructions on

    http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power#H...kernel_version

but my phone always wants to upgrade to v48 when I hit update on application manager. Any ideas?

here is the related output from dpkg --get-selections

    /home/user # dpkg --get-selections|grep kernel
    kernel install
    kernel-flasher install
    kernel-modules install
    kernel-power hold
    kernel-power-flasher hold
    kernel-power-modules hold
    kernel-power-settings hold

See the section on Limiting the Damage in the extras-devel wiki article, and use apt pinning accordingly.

    I have a problem:

Everytime I get a SIP call, my phones clokcs to 125Mhz to XXXMHz
For example: I have my N900 clock to 500-750MHz
Then I get a SIP call and after the call I check with: root, kernel-config show
and it is at 125-750MHz. wtf why!?!? It's really annoying
I reflashed my phone just to see, if it will solve the problem. But it doesn't, so it have to be a problem of the power kernel.

This is wrong! After installing Power kernel with settings, the clock is set after every boot to 125-600MHz.

wrong, too! After I installed the kernel-power-settings (and reboot my N900) I still had omap1. It is not installing the Power Kernel.

Hey, I would love to see kp49 pushed up by You guys. Ho ever, just be sure to synchro versions, so when Pali come back, he can start from point in which your patches are included... I also hope for both of You requesting maintainership rights

I can't reproduce it. Every time I boot the clock is set to whatever defaults I have in ~/.kernel/myconfig

I can't reproduced that either. I installed power-kernel this afternoon following the wiki instructions. I had no problem at all

Well... nevermind. I can change my default settings for boot (but after clean flash and installing the power kernel. The settings are at 125-600). And I don't care about the wiki, BUT... the SIP problem is really annoying. I hope someone can confirm.
