I'm sorry if I'm asking the obvious here, but this about gettin packet injection to work right? The USB-host stuff is confusing me
I'd be really if so and if you'd get it to work. One of the main reasons I bought my N800 is for "WiFi security testing"
Yeah,
Same here DrtGoatAir, getting injection working with an external card will do until there is a patch for the internal card which I'd love.
With the release of BackTrack III yesterday I'm hoping to try and port as many of the Wifi & BT apps onto N8x0 and them connect my N800 to a small portable laptop running BT2 & BT3b for everything else.
Ah, I think I get it. So if you'd be able to have the N8x0 function as an USB-host, you could connect it to a external WiFi device. And I presume something like this would not possible over Bluetooth?
Nice to know that Backtrack 3 is availible btw. I couldn't use Backtrack 2 because my WLAN device wasn't supported yet (and I was to lazy to install it :P ). I'll check that out tonight.
Any reason why AirReplay-ng hasn't been ported to Maemo?
I mean, is there a technical problem with that or just because of low interest?
(the internal wifi does not support packet-injection so maybe the guy that ported aircrack thought it would not be necessary to port aireplay?)
If it's still possible i will try to port aireplay to use it with a rt73 based wifi usb stick to crack wep with the N800.
