i want to buy an android phone. budget: $400-450. what do you suggest?

it should last me for 2 years, at least. the longer the better.
i was looking at galaxy s but it's been discontinued since january 2011. s2 is too expensive. i'd rather not have a phone on which development will cease after a year or so.

should i buy a galaxy s, or do you guys have any other suggestions? i'd like a phone that will have the latest os running at all times (community supplied, of course)

thanks!

Here's a helpful link if a qwerty keyboard is a must!

But it would be way sweeter if we just had a thin 4.5" slab phone and an attachable* (dockable like ASUS Transformer?) keypad. Perhaps even a gamepad with dual-joysticks. Of course the accessory should support a myriad of Android devices with the download of a single App.

*attachable via microUSB to get fastest connection, charge the device from the accessory/not waste battery on power-thirsty bluetooth connection.
