). It was also one of factors, that made me to decide of not putting my name into hat. sure, eloquent and communicate "Public Relations" Council members are needed, but IMO not at 100% of Council squad.

Who can make such a decision? Current council? Seems SD69 is missing (saw something about he is on a forum these days). So only remaining alternative (the one who is active at TMO from time to time) is Texrat. Unfortunately he is in a distant time zone so I would not expect an answer today.
@Texrat - please advice if it is possible for current council to decide on extending nominations period by a few says and if it is who and how should proceed.
Of course the above question is valid for other council members too.

Personally, I have no objection to extending the nominations period so long as determination of the new council is not delayed, but I don't want to contradict Texrat who seems to have already indicated otherwise.
