    [Alpha] accelBlend - controlling Blender with accelerometer data

    accelBlend is now available from extras-devel, the receiver part and the source for sender can be found at
    https://code.launchpad.net/~xintx-ua/+junk/accelblend

    How to test it with Blender:
    • Get accelblend_receiver.py from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~xintx-u...celblend/files
    • Add accelblend_receiver.py to the Blender: Ctrl+Alt+U -> Add-Ons -> Install Add-On
    • Activate it. You can use "3D View" filter to find it in the list.
    • Check the "Tools" panel in the main window. You should see "accelBlend" layout. If you don't have "Tools" panel, press T.
    • Click the "start receiving" button.
    • Launch the sender part (Menu > Utilities > accelBlend) on your phone providing Blender machine IP.
    • When you are done press Esc (!) to stop it.
    Notes

    1. I'm not sure about the dependencies of the package, will re-check them later.
    2. We need someone to test it on N9.

    Right now (0.0.1) it controls only 3D view rotation. But I'll try to make it a lot more useful, of course. And, of course, everyone can help me if they want

    Nice...would it be possible to use the accelerometers to pan the camera as well as rotate? (I'm picturing a pan/rotate toggle in the UI and applying a corresponding force to the Blender camera.)

    Yes, I want to bind it to many different actions in the future
