Well at least for me it's different situation than the OP is. I got my n900 on the wedding day also and grabbed for taking photo's and most people there got amazed by how how I managed to grab my n900 and shoot photo's and managed to switch between different modes thanks at least to fcamera.
Specially the feature which you could do manual focus
