What does apt-get install multiboot-kernel-power give? Try it on Xterm.
hey..sorry i uninstalled the previous one..and now again m gonna try the new one u uploaded with the GUI...i would had voulanteered ystrday but i was out for the day..sorry..hav jus flashed agn takin a lil help from vetsin..lets c if i can make it work dis time..

try for yourself and see what happens. If it screws up and you cannot use your phone at all, then reflash. If you are not wanting to take this risk, then you shouldn't be installing this anyway as its still development software.
