Does gmail still work with the default email program?
I enabled pop in gmail, and set my settings as both google and the maemo wiki suggest, but I keep getting an error for both pop & smtp saying either my username or password is invalid

For username try

got it working with imap (in my google settings I needed to not only set imap to on, but disable pop as well)

**turns out for some reason IE9 wasn't working right with regular gmail settins, and I needed to set things in gmail basic, both pop & imap worked for me then

I use POP and have IMAP disabled.

Is there any difference between the two?

POP works perfect on my end.
