This is freakin'awesome ! was waiting for this since loooooong time ago x) since the very begining in fact
good to see it finally happening ! and the ability to film in 720p is just really great ! just tested it and wow, really impressed ! seems like the whole mediaplayer (video part) is faster at playing files ! (uh ?)
need to do a little test while filming @720p on both my n900 and my iphone4 to see how good it is :P

completed install successfully using vmware player and ubuntu 11.04. copied relevant files over using scp and "connect to server" option on ubuntu . rebooted phone .
now the video files that played before dont work . "media format not supported" error...
do the copied files need certain privilages ? all copied files are root:root 644 and dsp folder is root:root 755 and files within root:root 644.
any idea where i have gone wrong ?
EDIT : fixed , think made mistake with dsp folder but my video's work again and test.avi from post1 works too ,all using default mediaplayer
Awesome. 600MHz for the DSP is extremely high though, and methinks it's best if programs simply request for the extra juice when it's needed (e.g. camera-ui2 calling a helper program to elevate and set dsp clock, or OMP doing so)
Else, everybody will start to need to buy dual Scuds
One last note, anyone know which H.264 profile this is?
