    Console fmradio app released. Just install on your n9/n950, restart phone, plug earphones and run in terminal :
    $ fmrx -f 99.9
    replace 99.9 with desired frequency.
    Ctrl+C stops it.
    If you dont hear sound, stop program, unplug/plug earphones, then start fmrx again.
    P.S. This is not my app, see www.maemos.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=3003 for details (in russian) .
    P.P.S. The guy, who is working on this stuff says that fm transmitter app will be released soon

    Please note that is my application, the official releases as well as the source are available here http://depot.javispedro.com/nit/n950radio/

    It's been only tested on n950 and thus your mileage might vary.

    Regarding FMTX, it's most probably a no-go on the N950, but it might work on the N9.

    Also, someone from Nokia is now working on "better" FMRX support.

    Obviously there is going to be a big demand for the fm receiver and transmitter so thanks for keeping us up to date. Now when other people ask on other threads we can answer them so it does not create so much noise and possible complaints and arguments.

    It is said it has no antenna, and it is explicitly disabled in the kernel (that's not a problem, but if it's disabled on the n950 and not on the n9 it probably means there's strong reason to believe it does not work).

    When I tried it, I never got a hint of a signal out of it. It might be because I'm failing to configure it, but considering I got fmrx working.... that's probably not the case.
