if Mer is a topic, is MeeGo too?
if so, what about this: “Join openSUSE”, says Jos Poortvliet
may not sound very deb à priori, but openSUSE's build service also supports other package formats then rpm, in fact.
Besides the openSUSE project, a number of Open Source projects like the Moblin/Maemo/MeeGo project, VideoLAN project, companies like Dell, Cray, United States Postal Service and universities are running their own instances of the Open Build Service. Some of these are available in our list of Open Build Service installations.
where the meeting will be held... online or real... and how can i participate.. i live in india ?
We have 7 topics and limited time. In case that your interest is limited to following the discussion, I would suggest you to wait for the transcript of the meeting which will be published here (since you are not familiar with irc).
There is a topic with title Ask the Council in Community section of this forum, where you can ask the questions at any time. You can read what others have asked/suggested too. Depending on the importance/relevance, some of the questions from there can be added as a topic for future meetings.
i got a trivial question about the meeting last night... who are bergie, mairas, maclaver, X-Fade and nemein? seems like they are important figures.
just a suggestion for future meeting, maybe it would be better if the main people involved in the topics to be discussed are introduced at the start of the meeting so that new members who decide to watch have an idea on who's talking and why. i hope i'm not offending anybody here, i just want to know. thanks!
