my question is i want to change the stupid sounding "skype modern ringtone" to just a standard sound of a phone ringing. i found the file using gpe file manager , how do i delete it and drop my own file with the same name in there?

forgive me , but i dont know what you mean. what i want to do is rename a soundfile that i want to use with the name of the file thats already there , and delete the file thats already there , then put the renamed file in its place. can you give me specific instructions on what to type in x term in order to do this?
