It all installs fine and I get to the logo screen it hung for a bit until I plugged in the charger and it booted into the OS.
I am having another problem though:
I get as far as signing in and it runs for a min or two and then says cannot connect to Google server please connect via wifi so I click the wifi button and boom an error pops up "The Aplication Google services framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." with the button force close.
If I skip this option a whole bunch of similar errors come up about bluetooth the launcher mms etc and asking me to force close. It seems nothing loads for me. The only thing I can do is restart the device and go back to maemo.
Is there something I need to add through maemo to the SD card to get the applications to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've used NITDroid installer. It's installed whatever it wanted but when I reboot to try NITDroid, it boots into BackUpMenu, not NITDroid.
@greyzeppelin
the installer doesn't install Backupmenu... maybe you mean multiboot?
when you see the multiboot screen you're supposed to pick which kernel you want to boot so choose the one with nitdroid on it. just type the number on your keyboard.
so when you open keyboard it the num for nitdroid it boots into backup menu ok try uninstall nitdroid reboot try again some times it dont work frist time have you got kernel power booting installed
