The new PR1.1 does support Chinese language and input. (not the hardware keyboard).
I guess the Chinese variant changes Facebook integration to Renren and twitter to weibo.


If you live outside China and want just input the current version is the best.

Same issue for me. There seems to be issue with capsfilter initialization and that happens after some ioctls failed from omap3camd side. Here is what I get in the strace log:

Do you have the link to the Changelog for the new firmware?
Will I lost all the Contacts when flashing to the new firmware?

Yes you will.

You can back up your device before flashing. Afterwards copy the backup files, in MyDocs/.backup in your PC. Then copy it back after you reflash the device and restore.

But why not using mail for exchange? I basicly just copy the music, image and video and map data, don't actually use the restore function to get a "cleaner" device. The contacts can be saved in any Google Mail/Hotmail accounts.

Looks like it's just me, but the original trick to enable landscape orientation isn't working for me in PR1.1 -- anybody else having this issue?
