Hey, I've just tested Video.google.com, russianremote.com and other pages for usability with my n800 running os2008 - and btw: it's exactly as it was before! Slowdowns! Horrible slowdowns! Only during the stream, if streamd to the end and plaid from cache, no problems at all (like in os 2007!!!)

So, YouTube works just fine, but the others wont - could it be?

Was there just a fix for YouTube implemented into os2008, or it the official release for n800 probably working with 320 MHz instead of 400 again?

Do you have memory card in internal card slot? If not, then try to put one there and make sure it has plenty of free space (like 500M or something). Check if directory /media/mmc2/tmp exists while you play a video.

Ok, I've found a workaround:

1. Start the playback of a Video in your browser. (don't close it)
2. Start X-Term (don't close it)
3. Switch back to the browser window (task manager)

The video plays just fine!

It seems like the advance cpu energy save is a bit buggy...

Hope, will get fixed in the nex future...

I'm playing videos from video.google.com just fine, it sucks up pretty much all available CPU and RAM, and BogoMIPS from /proc/cpuinfo shows 388.

no workaround needed here.

Seems to get this kind of bug not with all of the video.google.com video streams.

I'm unsure if there is a problem with the lenght of the streams...

Tested on another device (another n800) and another internet privider - same problem exists (and btw. the same solution).

At russianremote.com every video has this problems!
