how do i know if i have the latest software?

Hello,
I want to know if i have the latest software, because on my N900 portrait mode for the homescreen and standart webbrowser doesnt work, and i know i have to press ctrl + shift + O :P

go to settings ---> general ---> about product

the latest software version from Nokia is 20.2010.36-2 (in short it's PR 1.3)

Thats what I have, so does any one know why I cant get my homescreen and standart webbrowser in to portrait mode?

The browser portrait mode is hidden somewhere in the browser's options. For the homescreen you should install cssu. It is the community upgrade to nokias latest software (which is what you got)
