Hi Guys, I just got my N800 recently and tried to play RMVB files, but anything with moderate amount of action causes it to drop a lot of frames.

Is there any way to play rmvb without dropping frames or is it just not powerful enough?

(without converting)

you have to convert the format into avi.then you can play any movie you like. I use it to play Friends. the 2G sd card can store about 18 scenes. planning to get a 4G card...

Variable bitrates and the N800 don't mix well - there probably is not any hardware support for them, so that they are poor performers. And in any case video loads the N800 so heavily that VBR videos are no joy to view, as frames get dropped in big clumps during high-action peaks, which is extremely visible compared to the gentle averaged reduced frame rate which frame dropping will cause in constant bitrate video.
