I just bought a Nokia N9 64 GB black from Mumbai.
The phone is from the Starhub operator (Singapore).

I've applied for a micro sim from my network in India (Airtel), but I can't help wondering if the phone could be locked?

I hope the N9 will run on any carrier and won't be locked? If anyone has info about the Starhub N9 specifically, please share.

i believe the n9 is always unlocked. id say just check with you current provider.

I'm from Singapore. All mobile phones sold by the telcos are mandated to be unlocked. Starhub is one of the 3 major telcos in Singapore. No worries.
