Marxian, thank you so much for the video app, its ridicolously awesome. Its basically ninjadragonawesome.

If you made a damn wallpaper and put it on nokias store for 10 euro id buy it just in support.

Well played, Gerkin.

I just added a video file in the video folder but it isnt showing up the the video application. Its not HD not an unusual format, is there something I need to do, scan or something?
Thanks

PS Got to say the N9 is far buggier than I expected from the reviews, random slowdowns and times when you are navigating through options and its a an annoyance getting back - eg no back option. Lets hope the firmware update improves it..

PPS Now all of my music files and video files have dissappeared for no reason - they are on the mass storage but the apps arent picking them up. wtf??? Its like the N900 all over again. Jesus, Nokia.

It's possible to sync the N9 with the earlier version of Ovi Suite (version 3.0.0.290).

1. Delete existing versions of Ovi Suite

2. Download the 3.0.0.290 version (you can get it from here, but you will need to unzip the file ... http://www.4shared.com/file/NEaBJnfo...te_300290.html

3. Make sure you "save" and do not run the file.

4. Once downloaded, disconnect from the internet.

5. Install Ovi suite.

6. Once installed (still disconnected from the internet), connect your N9. Sync the phone and ensure that your uncheck automatic updates for Ovi suite in settings. Look in Sync, Sync options.

You're ready to go, and can re-connect ! Enjoy.

For anyone else in the same boat, here's the article I referenced: http://coderus.wordpress.com/2011/10...d_flashing_en/

For Navifirm, mentioned in the article, I went here: http://www.symbian-toys.com/navifirm.aspx#download

I am trying this now and am very hopeful, while doing the coldflash I get a message that my battery is at 0% 11% required I had it plugged into my computer all night, I have switched it to charging from the wall for a few hours to see if that helps.
