I played with it some last night. For some reason, a lot of the tags were incorrect whereas I had all my tags standardized for those same files. Maybe it only reads ID3v1 tags?

Also, with the webot application running on my Linux machine with about 11000 songs available, CPU use was at 60-70% even when I wasn't using it.

was the 60-70% issue while those 11,000 songs were indexing? did the cpu drop once the fs-plugin tasks were finished. personally, i never see higher than 45-48% during large library indexing.
