hmm, my provider once installed a new firmware on my router without my knowledge.
This was a router with wireless and wired lan.
This firmware update caused some problems when uploading files.
So there is still a chance that the router is the bad boy.
I guess you did not write down the original firmware version of your router somewhere so that you are able to compare if this has changed?

Some wrong path?

Since I updated to the new PR1.3.1 I did not try wireless.
I'll do that later on at home.
Edit: tested my providers Internet-WLAN router: works as before.

Did you search in the internet if there are problems with your brand of router?
Is there any access control in your router which makes problems ?

There is another thread about the GPS issue here at TMO.

Hey,

seems like I was infected by your symptoms!
Now my N900 does not load pages when connected to some hotspot routers, which require idenfification via password entry in browser at first connection.

I have investigated down to "the routing table is not updated" after connectted to that network. I do have an IP assigned, but my resolv.conf shows only localhost. And the routing table is empty.
When I enter the correct entries manually
route add default wlan0
route add default gw x.y.z.1wlan0
it works.
But I have to do that each time the network is connected. Thats annoying. Anybody out there who has a.guess?

P.S.:
when I connected last to my home wifi, everything was allright. Furthermore, when I connect my ad-hoc network the routing table is updated automatically.

P.P.S.: sorry Moody for hijacking, but it is so much related to your problem...

When I connect to my Internet-WLAN router I also have
/etc/resolv.conf
with
nameserver 127.0.0.1
only.
But I still can browse webpages with microB.
Is there something wrong with
/etc/resolvconf/update.d/dnsmasq
?
ps aux | grep dns
says
... /usr/sbin/dnsmasq -k -i lo -a 127.0.0.1 -z
in my case.
The IP of my router is the default gateway in the routing table on my N900.

About dnsmasq I am not sure and can not check with my home wifi, as I am on the road. But I believe, that also the IP of the router (GW) was shown here. But nevertheless, it works with only 127.0.0.1.

And you are right, the routing able should/must have an entry with the IP of the router as gateway.
But this does not happen anymore, when I connect to that network.
It should be generated automatically...

--edit
Just to let you know:
Back home and everything's fine again.

I think it was a misbehaviour of the Linksys wireless router or/and the password protected internet access. Somehow ...
But I handled this situation with a script in /etc/network/if-up.d, setting the gateway like it should be after connected to that SSID.

Nevertheless after getting the chance to connect to another router everything is set up automatically again.
