I was just reading in another thread (why are there several of these threads?)... that davgus tried with a couple of different computers and still had the same problem.
I suppose if you have access to another PC you could try that too, but based on what davgus has reported I'm now leaning toward it not being a PC-specific problem.
Which leads me to think it might be an issue with the tablet itself. But what? ... hmmm... something bad in the 256 MB of device flash memory?
I'm not a Linux guy, but maybe someone who is could advise on a method to do a check of the onboard flash memory.
