Dell Canada and a few other sites have sold the N800. I don't think any of them have the N810 at this point.

I just searched Future Shop and Best Buy, but they don't have any Nokia tablets. Seeing as both companies are owned by the same, they seem to have mostly the same product selection between chains.

As far as a Canadian retailer, I haven't seen one either. I was going to order an N810 from Buy.com Canada but I don't like how their listing is always out of stock. Also, their customer support is not very helpful (at least not for me).

From everywhere I have been looking, this guy on ebay seems the best choice for Canadians. They have 100% feedback on almost 5700 feedbacks (which is pretty amazing!). Located in Allegheny PA, and ship via USPS. They currently sell the N810 for US $445 with shipping of $31, and seem to keep getting a steady supply of stock.

If anyone finds a better place to buy one from, please let us know!

After a long hiatus, tigerdirect.ca has n800's in stock. Hopefully that means they will soon have n810's also.

Tigerdirect.ca did indeed have N810s. I went to the store in Markham Ontario and they had a lone N800 in the case (first and only time I've physically seen one, heh.) Never saw any N810s physically yet.

If I can get one for about $350, looks like I'm going to have more to rant and rave about

Oh, I didn't realize that they had the N810 on their site before. When I was at the Mississauga store about 2 months ago, they had several N800's, and a few 770's. I actually made a sale, so to speak, to a customer who was browsing by. He picked up a 770 for $149 due to my sales pitch. The topic of another thread entirely "How many people have you converted to the dark side"....

good.. hope they get the n810 soon. I am really tempted to buy one of these now, but I think I should wait a few more weeks to see if the price comes down just a little. I am such a cheap stingy bastard, I get nervous whenever I have to spend more than $250 on a gadget

FWIW,

Amazon.com is one of the few etaillers that doesn't put up a fuss if your shipping address is different from your billing address -- even in a different country. So, if you happen to be traveling to the US, staying in a hotel or with friends, and can time your delivery dates, that's always an option for Canadians.

Last time I looked, they were offering next day delivery on the N810s, if you just can't wait!

Just to add to that post above, I ordered the iGO Stowaway Keyboard to a coworker's place in the US with my CDN Visa billing address and everything went fine. (Scary)

I am still waiting for my second iGO Stowaway Keyboard which was supposed to have been delivered 17 Dec on 2-day delivery. My first order never made it through and Amazon sent me a replacement - which is the one I am waiting for.

I have been using Amazon.com from Canada for quite a while. In the past I have been able to track delivery right to the UPS store. Now DHL-home only say that they hand it over the USPS in Ogdensburg. I can't track it and I can't find it. After Christmas I will try again. Sigh.

Anyway the lesson is to insist that Amazon do not use DHL-home, even if it costs significantly more to ship your parcel. Apparently, you have to do this by asking Amazon to call you about your order before processing it. I have not tried this yet, I just hope that Amazon/DHL can solve this problem before my next order.

I'm not familiar with DHL, but looking at the thread you referenced, I assume it's a crappy delivery service.

I haven't had any problems in the (albeit) few times I've used Amazon.com to ship to a US hotel. One item I shipped well advanced, taking advantage of free shipping, to be held by the hotel until my arrival. Even next day delivery while I was at the hotel has been fine. I wasn't even aware of exactly who the delivery carrier was -- I guess because it went smoothly!

I'm exploring similar options now for getting my hands on an "eye-fi." The consensus seems to be that eBay is the only current Canadian shipping address choice for that item. No retail outfit will ship to Canada, and no Canadian seller is offering them.
