    I am not too keen on overclocking, there is a reason why nokia decided to ship @600MHz rather than 1GHz like other phones at similar timelines with A8. That does not mean it will fry but I like keeping it safe. In Spain no provider gives this phone, do not want to have to pay for it again (mainly because i cannot).

    That being said there should not be trouble if it is not pushed hard, but maybe nitdroid pushes it a lot... I have not yet tried it (OCing or Nitdorid I must shamefully admit)

    EDIT: davdav's approax I think is the correct one, lower if temp too high or idle

    I am really wanting to try it its just time constraints that haven't allowed me (i.e. I cannot risk having to reflash and restore my phone to the current state it is, do not have time for that until christmas )

    As a sidenote about no supporters... i feel your pain, I bought the last packaged one on El Corte Ingles (big supplier here) and felt really lucky

    Having problems with new installer.

    I have had nitdroid installed many time without problems but tried the new installer after not using nitdroid for 2 months and now nitdroid will not load.

    From multiboot it boots fine but stays in a loop on the adroid video in screen with red led flashing, Battery is full, tried to rc 4, 6 and 7 kernels with same result.

    Any ideas

    Ps. pulled sd card when booting and fails to load ext3 and results in guru meditaion error.

    Uninstalled nitdroid, reinstalled with sd removed now guru meditaion eror on boot from nitdroid, locks on video in screen when sd card inserted.

    Archos 5 and N900 share the same GPS chip (NL5350) and here I found the Archos GPS source code:
    http://dev.openaos.org/browser/trunk...5350.c?rev=139

    For Front Camera VS6555 we could port driver from Meego:
    http://meego.gitorious.org/maemo-mul...50?format=diff

    Here the dev added support for FM Transmitter on Nitdroid:
    https://gitorious.org/nitdroid-2-6-3...00-next?page=3

    Here there is the source for the TSL2563 driver:
    http://rosedu.org/~pylxr/stable/?pro...ging/iio/light

    Anyone that could compile these drivers as Nitdroid modules?

    For anyone having issues with "Force close" errors in a lot of apps in Nitrdoid (OOME usually), the following fix should help:

    1. Boot into Maemo
    2. Open X-Term (Ctrl+X)
    3. Run 'vi /home/system/build.prop'
    4. Press i to change to edit/insert mode
    5. At the end of the file, add the following line:
    dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m
    6. Press 'esc', write ':wq'
    7. Boot back into Nitdroid and you should be sweet

    @rb26vl
    what does it do?
    and is there any reason why i shouldn't do it?

    EDIT:
    did some research and 32 is the optimum value, found by trial and error. going higher won't necessarily improve anything and may cause instability. go lower than 24, you'll experience more app closes.
    thanks for sharing rb26vl!
