    F2thaK is your demo video done on an N9 or N950 as I noticed your menu icons rotated from portrait to landscape as you rotated the phone. Or does this mod change this behaviour on the N9?

    Dont think using Filebox will work, worth a try though.

    Xterm is a better bet if you know how to use it.

    edit: the root directory is the very top folder in system files. you will not reach this via mass storage thru PC.
    How can you ssh to N9 with root ? I can only SSH to N9 with user permisson

    I noticed the same thing and I suspect he's made this tweak to enable landscape mode:

    http://everythingn9.com/how-to-activ...ur-homescreen/

    That's what I found after watching the video at least, and it successfully enabled landscape for me.

    Edit: I have not applied the new transitions files yet so I don't know if the landscape change is included with what he posted too.

    This is by design thanks to PR1.1, before that one had secure SSH themselves, see here.

    SSH via root is absolutely not necessary...
    One can use su/sudo to escalate permissions to do stuff, it's just as easy.

    This mod has nothing to do with that (but it appears to speed-up the switching between portrait/landscape).
    Below is how you remove the portrait lock for the home-screens.
    It's not entirely bug-free, yet, but mostly works...

    Unlike the N900 that has (mainly) one file, the N9 has many.

    The main files are in:
    /usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/libmeegotouchcore/style
    But there are more.

    This MOD will make the N9's transitions twice as fast.
    I don't suppose you can elaborate on how this differs to the default setup, & hence results in faster transitions?

    Although I haven't loaded into the n9 myself, here is a code snip from one of the config files.

    Code:
     MWidgetScaleFadeAnimationStyle#In {
        opacity-animation-duration: 200;
        opacity-animation-easing-curve: overshotbezier;

        scale-animation-duration: 200;
        scale-animation-easing-curve: overshotbezier;

        scale: 0.50;
        opacity: 1;
    }
    So I guess F2 just parsed all these config files and changed the duration to half.

    Correct me if I'm wrong or if that's not what you meant.

    Edit: looked into the files and they are (on first glance) half the duration.

    ^ Thanks,

    I didn't bother looking as I still don't have my White N9 to compare it's stock config with this.
    F2thaK, if there's more to it & if you've got 5-min, I'd interested in reading, thank-you.

    Use the Terminal, so much easier than using ssh.
