Deb would be cool, but would a simple qt program be all that hard?

Slider bar could adjust transition speed on a percentage base, and just use a file to reference where to apply changes.

Updates could be a simple tweak of the reference file.

Lol, sounds like a good cs101 project.

you can set password for user and root by doing in xterm:
(I recommend you make user and root passwords different! plus you really only need to set root for this)

    devel-su [enter]
    rootme [enter]
    passwd user [enter]
    (password for user) [enter]
    passwd root [enter]
    (password for root) [enter]

Ok.. have made a package of it now. I have not tested it in any way but it should work. It could brick your device so before testing make backups and prepare to flash. If i get some time over i might do a proper script for it and make the changes reversable.. right now.. reverse changes are not possible.

His lockscreen shows up in landscape, yes that happened with my N9 as well when I did the transitions mod. I went back into the file and changed the one setting and it was back to normal.

First. Thanks for your efforts! I'm not sure if this is a common problem but when I updated to Pr1.1 the behavior of terminal when switching from portrait to landscape changed. If I repeatedly rotate back and forth from portrait to landscape the terminal part will start to rotate first and then the vkb follows a little later, which looks a bit odd. I'm not doing this at a very fast rate. Perhaps I had't noticed it then but I don't recall this happening in Pr1.0. Do your improvements to transitions address this issue?
