for tamil fonts download latha.ttf from here
http://www.4shared.com/get/kQTreQyG/latha.html
then go to xterminal and type the following
root
mkdir ~/.fonts
mv /home/user/MyDocs/latha.ttf ~/.fonts/
(better copy paste it from your N900)
now u can browse tamil based web pages and type in tamil language too..
@bharathi1986 android is still in development akka.. calls and messages aren't working.. in android 2.3.7 update camera works but its very laggy..
and by the way i am shocked to c users from tamilnadu..
