Seriously though, there is no such thing as "changing mind" about (LGPL) license, so, even if they try to do it on purpose (which I doubt), they're screwed. Is there any legal "deadline", when code *must* be released? Having in mind terms of LGPL?
Agreed. Stallman will not stand for this senseless affront to freedom.

freemangordon is a hero to us all!

I just reinstalled the 720p cameraui deb (along with the two libgdigicam libs) after having had it replaced by the latest CSSU upgrade, and it's working again. It will be great once this is included in the CSSU, but for now I'm content with reinstalling the debs. The 720p recording is smoooooth!

After installing these packages, I can't play any video. It says "unable to play media. Media format not supported". Any help please. Thanks in advance.

Read the first page again and follow ALL the steps. And be sure you have KP49 installed.

Thank you very much for your quick response and excellent work. I already checked that I do have KP49 installed and I am pretty sure that I followed your instructions. At step 3, I couldn't find lib folder under home/user/ folder. But I did find gstreamer folder under home/user/ so I just copy libgstdsp.so file in there. Do you think that is the problem? Thanks again for your help.

READ THE FRIENDLY INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN. (The same goes for your next asking buddy "uday...." too.) The relevant path is '/usr/lib/', not '/home/user/lib/'. What you did won't work. I suggest doing everything on the cmdline instead of relying on FileBox et al.

Yes.Earlier too i did it via command line from N900 itself.Failed.But when i installed all via ssh its working now.I dont know what change it did.

I am very sorry to ask this question, but even after i have loaded my custom dsp profile which has 900 upper limit, locked the frequency at 900,still my videos lags a lot.The same video played well until i reflashed my phone and installed this debs again.

Can some one please post their working dsp profile

Thank you.

Before going out screaming bloody gpl violation all around the world, who is the copyright holder?
If it is Nokia, then they can change their mind anytime they want, just they can't revert the gpl in any already published source code, but they would be under no obligation to provide more source code.
On the other hand, if the code is not theirs... then it would be a copyright infringment if they refuse to provide the source code.

EDIT:
Found the repo: http://code.google.com/p/gst-dsp/
And code isn't (C) only from nokia, but from Felipe too

Before making any loud noises, we should contact Felipe first.

AFAIK, this is not a GNU project, so it isn't Stallman call, but Felipe's, who is a Nokia employee btw.

EDIT2: we could just go ahead and build our own gst-dsp from sources.

I know, but I like to believe Stallman is really like this.
