I've got a relatively unique problem and it might have been stupidity that got me into this one. The camera stand was starting to get lose and it started annoying me so I decided to get rid of it. I took it off and then realized the shiny silver thing always ruins pictures with the reflected flash so I decided to take that away too. It broke the camera lens cover, which I don't mind actually, but the camera application wouldn't start because it thought the lens cover was closed.
However, soon I figured that there is a sensor right next to the camera lens which, when covered, tells the phone that the camera is now on. Now for a couple of hours as the phone was in my pocket, the camera application kept getting launched and then exited. I downloaded this application to disable the launching of the application but the phone is still pretty much unusable for taking pictures because I have to cover the sensor with one finger.
Is there any way to just disable the camera lens cover sensor all together? Like can the lens not get activated automatically whenever the camera application is launched? Like on other phones that don't have a camera lens cover.
there is a small sensor down and to the left of the lens if that is covered with something white then it will work ...maybe just crazy glue the lens cover back in the open position ..if you do this make sure you take the back case off first
I figured that out too but I need time to find something to tape it up with. Is there no software solution to this? Like just disabling the sensor out of the way? The phone keeps getting unlocked again and again in my pocket too, doing random things while I think it is sleeping innocently! :P
