Im having the same issue, it first started 2 days ago, when a reboot would fix it, but by now i cant get it to boot up with working communication at all..
I tried applying pressure to the sim with some shims and also tried applying pressure to the antenna, but nothing works.. hopefully warrenty will cover it..
My first n900 had to go back to nokia to be replaced because of this problem. Now, my replacement has developed the same fault. Wrote a snotty email to nokia. They have told me they will sort it out one way or another. Seems to be quite a common problem, especially when the phone starts to get old. Very annoying.
My N900 had its motherboard replaced last year, now it has done the same again. Problem is it is now just out of warrenty, they do not want to know. Replacement parts 'should' be replaced if faulty. What is with Nokia not helping people with a known problem on a good mobile, they are soon going to loose peoples respect and then wonder why.
